Hidden Sounds (at CCC Chengdu)


The Hidden Sound Workshop invites participants to discover the hidden world of electromagnetic sound in a fun and engaging way. Electromagnetic signals surround us in our daily lives, yet most of us are unaware of them. During a guided sound walk, participants use specially designed devices made by Ronnie to listen to these otherwise inaudible sounds, gaining a new perspective on their everyday environment. Along the way, they discover how playful and accessible working with sound can be.

During a one-month residency at DNBeta, Chengdu's digital nomad community, Ronnie was invited to lead this workshop at the Chengdu Community Conference (CCC), where it contributed to the programme exploring community making, participatory urban design, and the relationship between people, technology, and their environment.
